Can you hear me now?

Tragically, a Democratic led Congress voted to give the President new warrant less eavesdropping powers and a get out of jail free card to the telecommunications companies who hooked up the National Security Agency to our private conversations. All lawsuits concerning the illegal invasion of privacy will now be discarded.

The ACLU and the Electronic Frontier Foundation will challenge this action - which eviscerates the Fourth Amendment - in court.

A few Patriots voted No.

It was back in December of 2005, we learned that the private conversations of American citizens were being listened to - without warrants. That "was" a felony under U.S. law, punishable by up to 5 years in prison and/or $10,000 fine for each offense. And, if you recall, the illegal activity had been going on for a number of years, including before 9/11.

Sounds like business as usual in Washington - forget the rights of the people - and legalize the crimes of the telecommunications companies and a rogue administration.

I hear my phone ringing. . . . Big Brother, is that you?
