From Friday, April 25th through Thursday, May 1, the St. Petersburg Beach Theater present the Academy Award winning documentary film by Alex Gibney, "Taxi to the Darkside."
This movie is a shocking indictment of the Bush administration's use of torture. The title of Gibney's movie is derived from the treatment meted out to an Afghani taxi driver named Dilawar, who was mistakenly fingered as a terrorist, then killed during a torture session conducted by American troops. The director uses excruciating details surrounding the taxi driver's death as a starting point in his search for the people who have permitted such incidents to occur. We encourage our supporters to support the courage of the Beach Theater's owners, Liz and Mike Frantz, as they bring the truth to the screen. Find the days and times here: Days and Times of Movies Here.
The Beach theater is @ 315 Corey Ave St. Pete Beach, FL 727-360-6697
